[ND] [ND] Do I need a license to sell tee shirts online?
In general, you don’t need to collect sales tax if your taxable sales in North Dakota are less than $100,000 in the current or previous calendar year. Once you exceed this threshold, you must obtain a permit and begin collecting tax on sales delivered during the following calendar year or 60 days after the threshold is met, whichever is earlier.
North Dakota does not require businesses to obtain a general statewide business license. So, based on your circumstances, it does not appear you will need a license or a sales and use tax permit until you meet the above financial threshold.

Hello, I have a YouTube podcast and I have shirts that I’ve had designed for my podcast. I sell them on a friend’s website where he does print-on-demand for several bands and podcasters. I put a link to his site with my shirts on it, and if I sell one through his site, I make a commission off that. Is this something I need a business license for or any other types of permits?
