Can I cancel service with a debt relief company?

I joined a debt relief program two days ago. I signed documents, which I have in one pdf format. I have changed my mind and I want to leave the program. What should do?

Okay then the simplest option here would be to contact the debt relief company in writing and tell them you changed your mind and want to cancel the contract as you're not ready to move forward with their services at this time. And again, the contract should have the acceptable methods of cancellation in it along with an address or email or phone number that you need to use to notify them.

I understand that changing your mind about a debt relief program can be stressful. Have you already contacted the program to express your desire to withdraw?

No, I have not contacted the program.

What specific terms or conditions were outlined in the documents you signed regarding cancellation or withdrawal from the program?

The contract says I can cancel at any time, but I need a lawyer to review it.

Is there anything else the lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured they'll be able to help with your contract review.

Yes

Have you paid the debt relief program any money yet? What does the contract say about cancellation and how you would go about doing so? Typically, you would have to contact them in writing and notify them that you were ending their services.

Typically most of these debt relief companies have at least a 3-day right to cancel in the contract if a customer changes their mind. But you would have to review your contract about cancellation and see how it says you need to go about doing it. Typically it would say you need to send them something in writing to a specific address listed in the contract stating that you are terminating it and requesting that any money that you might have paid be refunded.

I haven't paid them any money.

I have a contract through a law firm.
