Do I need a notarized travel consent form for a minor if her father and I are not married?

There is no court order that says we share custody at the moment. I live completely with her. I added him to the birth certificate and passport.

No, you would not need a notarized travel consent order if there is no court requirement or order stating that you share custody.

Minor (Child) Travel Consent Form

Do I need a notarized travel consent form for a minor if her dad, who we have never been married to but signed the passport, is not traveling internationally?

I understand the importance of ensuring proper documentation for traveling with a minor. Has the father provided written consent for the minor to travel internationally?

There is no court order that says we share custody at the moment. I live completely with her. I added him to the birth certificate and passport.

Are there any specific requirements or restrictions for minors traveling internationally in the destination country?

I don't know.

Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured they'll be able to help with travel consent.

No there isn’t, we have never gone to court. We have a parenting plan of our own, not notarized, where we state we let 30 days notification for the other parent.

When I previously asked for the letter earlier this afternoon his response was:

Thank you very much for informing me about our daughter's outings and who she will be with. I appreciate that. For me, that's enough, but I see all the rest as unnecessary, and I won’t take part in these nonsense. Just like you were so persistent with your family in taking our daughter to New York the day I told you I didn't authorize it, to avoid a situation for my daughter where she would be around a bunch of relatives and strangers, you still did it. So, nothing, go ahead and relax because I won't cause any problems or throw any obstacles your way. That said, if something happens to our daughter, we’ll have to talk about something else. You, your family, or those involved will be responsible for the girl. Otherwise, enjoy and have a great trip.

Can that be considered a written authorization just in case he tries to restrict my travel?

Dan

Dan

Yes, it can.

Although it is not required, do you recommend sending him the consent which I had already created before messaging you to be sent and completed? And if he does not comply, will I still be okay? I created two: notarized and unnotarized.

Dan

Dan

I would not give him any more communication than necessary if that is his message.

Thank you.

I'm happy to hear I was able to answer your question.

If we have not gone to court and there is no court parent plan or court order, does it mean I have sole custody? I live with my daughter 100%, and he spends only two days with her every 3 or 6 months.

Dan

Dan

Yes, without a court order you would have sole custody.

Ok, thank you.
