[WI] [WI] What steps should my deported mother take to get a new B-2 visa?
I ask because a permanent ban would require a waiver. Generally, she would first reapply for a B1/B2 by filing the DS-160. Because of the deportation, she may also need Form I-212 (permission to reapply after removal). She’ll need to show strong ties to Mexico and clear intent to return. I hope this helps.

Hi! 10 years ago my mom got deported after living in Austin for 2 months. She had a B2 visa and hadn’t overstayed, but my brother (a minor) was studying in Austin. I’m now in Milwaukee on an L1 visa and my mom wants to try for a tourist visa to visit me. What’s the best way to approach this?
Is there anything else the lawyer should know before I connect you?
I don’t know.
Hi there! I’ve been an attorney for more than a decade and I’m here to help. When she was deported, was any ban put in place?
We’re both from Mexico. We don’t know; they made her sign documents in English and she doesn’t speak the language.
Did you ever see the documents?
No.
