I live in Oregon, and have a mediated Residential Eviction agreement. The move out date is pending, however I would like to schedule a hearing to extend due to my current inability to secure housing. What recourse do I have. At mediation I provided the owner with all funds owed, and I am willing to pay this months rent, and any late fees owed to give me more time to find another residence.

I live in an apartment complex and we are experiencing ongoing harassment from a particular tenant. We have had meetings with the manger, but still no resolution due to her lack of management. We want to know if we can potentially sue for this harassment and some other things that are happening in these apartments. It has caused me unwanted stress. We would not have these problems if she enforced the rules in the lease for every tenant.

So a bit of a rundown. My parents bought a house in Tennessee about a year and a half ago. They planned on renting it out until they moved this year. I did the initial walkthrough when the house was purchased and there was no damage. As of last July, my parents contracted with a property management company. There were certain conditions verbally stipulated and agreed upon. They were told there would be photos prior to the tenants moving in. Everything seemed fine and the tenants just moved out. I did a walkthrough/final inspection yesterday and found multiple instances of damage. After being provided inspection photos, none of the damage is shown in the originals — it appears the photos were taken while the tenants were moving in, not before. The property management company is claiming the damage was there prior.

I am a homeowner in Ohio who rents out rooms in the house where I live. One of my tenants, who is on a written and signed month-to-month lease, has already informed me they plan to move out on August 31, 2025. However, in the early morning of June 28, 2025, around 2:50 a.m., this tenant opened the door to my private bedroom while I was asleep, without permission. I consider this a serious violation of my privacy, safety, and peaceful enjoyment of my home. I am attaching (or bringing) a copy of the lease for your review. The lease includes general obligations regarding respect for others and peaceful enjoyment, though it may not explicitly mention bedroom boundaries. My goal is to act lawfully while protecting my safety and the peaceful use of my home. Thank you for your guidance.

My mother tried to get help for rental arrears but was denied because she wasn’t on the lease anymore. I formally complained to the landlord, asking for my mother to be put back on the lease and explaining my financial hardship. The landlord said she’d reinstate her once the first debt was paid. I paid it — but she didn’t put her back. So, I withheld rent because the landlord retaliated by trying to evict me.
