[MI] I live in HUD housing and have received a Notice to Quit but not an eviction. Can my apartment management refuse my rent?

I have emails from the property manager telling me to bring a cashier’s check or money order, which I did. I took pictures of the check and saved the email. They still refused payment. HUD says I’m entitled to due process, and I’m being intimidated and harassed by the office.

I was legally divorced on 07/10/2025. I am having a baby with a different man on 10/10/2025. I reside in San Bernardino County, California. If I marry him, will that eliminate my ex-husband’s presumed paternity? I just want to be able to put my new man on the birth certificate without having to go to court. My ex-husband will not challenge paternity.

The house was sold before he died. He had dementia and was told he couldn’t sign any documents. He took my sister off power of attorney, then gave my brother everything. Then my brother sold the house. And now the house is on the market again.

[MD] Code enforcement ordered my tenant to vacate the storage garage I rent to them, but they are refusing to comply. How should I proceed?

I am a landlord that rented a storage garage on a month-to-month basis. I received a letter on May 7 from Code Enforcement in Maryland stating that an inspection was made and the tenant had set up housekeeping there and appeared to be using it as her residence. The letter said that he would be at the property on May 9 to condemn the garage and that it must be vacated. I confronted the tenant as soon as I received the letter, explained the letter, and informed her she needed to vacate in 48 hours. She has not vacated. What is the best course of action to remove her — or can I just cut the locks and remove her since she knows she has to vacate?
