[CA] Can my sister and I file a disclaimer of interest on my parents’ inheritance to change the designated beneficiary?

My sister and I would like me to inherit my parents’ house, and she will inherit any liquid assets they have. My parents do not want to change their will. If my sister files a disclaimer of interest for the house and I file one for the liquid assets, will the house pass solely to me and the liquid assets solely to my sister?

I'm in Florida. My husband passed in April. I am getting requests from credit card companies addressed to "The Estate of..." The house was in his name and I am the successor. How do I object to financial hardship in a divorce case?

I am pro se and have a child support objection trial where I am the Respondent. The opposing party stonewalled and objected to my discovery request to provide proof of their claim of "Significant financial hardship" in order to raise the obligation from $900/mo to $1600/mo. The opposing party stated they do not pay rent, as their parents are paying for the property. Am I able to admit this into evidence for the child support trial as it is one of my exhibits, and what possible exceptions could be used in the event of an objection?

[OH] Can I issue a 3-day notice to vacate to a tenant who opened the door to my private bedroom while I was asleep?

I am a homeowner in Ohio who rents out rooms in the house where I live. One of my tenants, who is on a written and signed month-to-month lease, has already informed me they plan to move out on August 31, 2025. However, in the early morning of June 28, 2025, around 2:50 a.m., this tenant opened the door to my private bedroom while I was asleep, without permission. I consider this a serious violation of my privacy, safety, and peaceful enjoyment of my home. I am attaching (or bringing) a copy of the lease for your review. The lease includes general obligations regarding respect for others and peaceful enjoyment, though it may not explicitly mention bedroom boundaries. My goal is to act lawfully while protecting my safety and the peaceful use of my home. Thank you for your guidance.

Is there a way to override the quitclaim deed that transferred property ownership to my soon-to-be ex-wife?

I recorded it a while ago. The house loan is still under my name, but the house has equity. I’m afraid that once she gets divorced, she can get me out of the house—even though she said she agreed to give me half if I signed the divorce. I told her if she’s willing to do another deed under both of our names, but she refused and said she wants to do it through the agreement with her lawyer. What’s the best way to do another deed to protect my house?
