I have a business law question regarding the formation of an LLC in Florida. Specifically, I’d like to know how I can structure the company to maintain my privacy and ensure that my personal information does not appear on the public Sunbiz.org database.

I reported a coworker for verbally assaulting me. My boss wasn’t happy. That coworker later filed a discrimination complaint against the company; my boss said they paid him to “make him go away.” After that, my boss/owner harassed me about low occupancy. Occupancy had been under 90% for two years due to incompetent maintenance; I kept asking for help. They finally sent two maintenance workers in late April 2025. On July 11, owner emailed: get occupancy into the 90s by Aug 15 or be terminated. On July 17, I was terminated for allegedly exchanging sexually oriented texts with an “employee I supervise.” Those texts were consensual, on my personal phone, off-hours, and I did not supervise that employee.

The contract states they can adjust the pay. But they’re changing the load number and the price we agreed on after you have picked up the load. They post it for a rate we agree on, then the load number changes and there’s a rate reduction. The reduction should apply to the first load number per our contract.

I’m in South Carolina but the vehicle was purchased in Virginia. I bought a vehicle from a different state that was shipped to me. I paid the cost in full before the van got to me, and it is in very poor condition, not at all as described. Since it’s second-hand, I don’t think lemon laws apply. I also realized they haven’t given me the title yet. They offered to buy it back but I would lose $8,200 because they won’t take it as a return. I want to know if it’s worth it to pay a lawyer to look further into this, or if I don’t have great chances of winning—in which case I’d rather take the $8,200 since I don’t have much more money to “play” with. I’ve been back and forth with the dealership since then because of the poor condition, and now I realized I have an even bigger problem with not having the title. My ideal resolution is to get my $26,400 back in full plus attorney’s fees, and that they pay to ship the van back to them. I don’t want it and I’m only allowed one vehicle where I live so I need to get rid of it ASAP. At a local dealership they ran a history and discovered it’s still registered as a rental van—it’s not even in the name of the dealership where I bought it. The lawyer yesterday said I should absolutely hire a lawyer for this. Do you agree? My other question I didn’t get to ask yesterday: should I stop all contact with the dealership OR email them that I will be suing for a full refund unless they give me my money back and take the van off my hands? I’m on a tight timeline. I desperately need a new vehicle and for that I need this money back and the van out of the property ASAP. The dealership is expecting me to ship the van back on Friday, in exchange for $18,000 payable via wire transfer to me after they receive it. But after all they did, I’m afraid if I ship the van, they won’t pay me at all. So I need to try to hire a lawyer before Friday and to know whether to continue communication with them. Main goal here: get my money back the fastest way possible.

When I was arrested the police broke into my safe and took my firearms. The original charge had nothing to do with firearms and the alleged victim never mentioned firearms. They said that I was a prohibited person and based it off a previous charge that was dismissed after a deferred adjudication. Should this be handled in civil court—can I do that with a dismissal without prejudice? Also, can I get my firearms back? There have been no charges filed against me for being a prohibited person in possession of firearms.

My father died in January 2023. My brother and I are co-beneficiaries of the estate in Sedgwick County, Kansas. I declined to serve as co-trustee and co-executor because I live out of state state, so my brother is serving in both those positions. I also signed a waiver of bond and agreed to the use of the Kansas Simplified Estate Act. He promised monthly phone calls and to settle the estate quickly. I’ve spoken to him twice in two years. He refuses to give me information, won’t put the house up for sale, won’t sell the vehicles — I could go on. What can I do? I’d like to get as much information as possible; I’m sure a letter from an attorney will get his attention. I’d appreciate guidance. Thank you.

I am a commercial truck driver, and I was stopped in Wisconsin because someone claimed I pointed a gun at them while I was driving. I did not, and the state police/trooper verified that and released me with no violations or tickets. Fast forward — I just checked my license today because I have to renew it in October. When I did, I noticed I had a sanction to complete driver school for a reckless driving ticket in Wisconsin. I have never received any ticket, and it was already adjudicated as guilty.
