[GA] How do I divorce an abusive spouse whom I’m afraid of?

I'm in an emotionally abusive relationship. When my husband is really angry, he threatens to leave me and take everything, so I have nowhere to go and nothing. This always scares me. We keep our money separate and pay bills proportionally based on our personal income. I have SO much debt from college and credit cards. I live paycheck to paycheck. All I want is freedom and stability, but I'm scared that I'll have to uproot my life and things I've worked so hard for and love. I'm even scared he'll take my cats. He's caused me to have a drinking issue and so much stress that I've picked my thumbnails to shreds. Things weren't so bad when he was working, but now he's home all day and doesn't do anything around the house.

[TN] I have four misdemeanor warrants for theft. What happens to the statute of limitations if I leave the country for a job?

I have four misdemeanor warrants for theft. The warrants were just issued in Tennessee. I'm preparing to leave the country for the next year for an underwater welding job. My understanding is that the statute of limitations for a misdemeanor in Tennessee is one year. My question is: do the charges I’m currently facing also have a statute of limitations?

[WA] What do I do if my terminally ill client’s family is threatening legal action for not refunding payment for unused sessions despite my refund policy?

I have a client who has unused massage sessions. The client knows there are no refunds on sessions, but the family is upset about the unused sessions and is accusing me of being predatory since she has terminal cancer.

[OH] Can I serve a 3-day notice to quit to a tenant who refuses to pay rent?

I have a tenant that has been late on her rent every month since September. We gave her written notice to pay the rent in full through April and to be out by May 31. She has not paid, refuses to communicate, is hostile, and refuses entry to the premises. Am I right to serve her with a 3-day quit notice?

I am renting a property and I invited someone to come and live with me. There was no signed lease. I need to evict this person. The landlord doesn't want to get involved. Do I sign in the landlord section since the landlord wants me to handle the eviction?

[NY] Is a 10-day notice sufficient to evict a month-to-month tenant in New York?

Good morning. I completed an eviction notice online, but reading it today it does not seem to fit my situation. We have had a guest in our house since Dec. 22nd, and I asked him to leave back in April, but he is still at my house. We let him stay as he had no place to go and is a friend of my son’s. Bottom line—I want him out. He has done several things like smoking in the bedroom, putting butts on the ground and not picking them up. I could go on and on. My anxiety is high. We do not charge him rent. I was hoping that he would get it together, but he has not—he just stopped working. I live in New York State.

If I have multiple names, which do I use on a deed?

My mother used her current name when she purchased a property, but somehow over the years, I think her Medicare card came with her maiden name as a middle name, so some documents have that name. I listed AKA, will that be sufficient?
