Can you draft a response to a defendant who wants to be dismissed with prejudice under TCRP/CPRC §74.351? We have an oral hearing on Tuesday, so I need it by tomorrow. Case is in Harris County District Court, Texas. Here are the specifics.

I have a question about Rule 2.9(C): (C) A judge shall not investigate facts in a matter independently and shall consider only the evidence presented and any facts that may properly be judicially noticed. While a judge shall not independently investigate facts in a case and shall consider only the evidence presented, a judge may seek information of a general nature that does not bear on a disputed evidentiary fact or influence the judge’s opinion of the substantive merits of a specific case.

Hello, I have a question regarding recorded audio in the state of Oregon and the legalities behind using it as evidence, or using transcripts instead. Are there any discrepancies between the two? Will I be able to use transcripts if I’m not allowed to use the audio recordings, and what are the implications?

Hi... I’m in Miami-Dade County, FL. I have a case about municipal courts (or mayor’s court). I’m arguing pro se at the moment. There are several components to the case, but the big one is a county ordinance that states code enforcement hearings will not be based on common law or general law (statutes/constitution). The Florida Supreme Court abolished these courts in the 1970s and reformed Article V (Judicial Branch) of the Florida Constitution. Question is, what are my chances and do you know any attorneys in South Florida who would take this case? The judge ordered me (verbally at hearing) to get an attorney. Not a good sign.
