A company and I have been partners for over three years. They’re in the process of moving and upsizing, so they approached me in a forcible way and demanded I get a bigger vehicle or else be replaced. I secured a bigger vehicle and told them the new price. They didn’t respond, but once I had the vehicle, they tried to lowball me using rates from three other companies. I told them they can’t compare like that — they don’t have the volume, and it wouldn’t work financially. I had a meeting with the branch manager. She said she couldn’t control inventory or employee pricing, but she could control shipping costs. She agreed to work on a set rate for my two vehicles and service. Then, three days later, after the close of business, she called and said she couldn’t come up with a rate and wanted to go cheaper. That forced me out, and now I’m left with a $3,587.50 investment for a larger vehicle. I would like to know if I have a case.
